In Viademonte Jewelry we work with gold of 18 carat (or 750), respecting the law of precious metals in Spain.
What does 18 carat gold mean?
The 18-carat title expresses the purity of the metal. The completely pure gold is 24 carats. This means that of 1000 parts, 750 parts correspond to pure gold and the rest to a mixture of metals in different proportion that give it color and hardness. This is the so-called first law in Spain.
How are the golds made of colors?
The different colors of gold are achieved with the metal that is added to the gold to complete the 250 missing parts to reach the 1000.
In the case of yellow gold, a proportion of silver and copper with a higher proportion of silver is used.
In the case of rose gold, copper and silver with a higher proportion of copper are usually used.
For white gold, palladium and silver are usually used.
And if I want a model that we have in silver, but in gold?
It can be done without problem, any of our rings can be made in gold, but you must bear in mind that the price of gold is not the same as silver, to make a budget in gold we would only need to know the sizes of the rings.
